Chapter 690: Preparation For Departure

After an exhausting day, Alex finally returned to his dormitory room to sleep.

He slept so soundly that when he opened his eyes, it was already morning.

His precious date with Lavinia was scheduled today, so Alex made sure to dress up properly.

Just as he was about to fix his hair, he heard someone knock on the door.

When he opened it, Lavinia was there, looking sad, and disappointed.

"What’s wrong?" Alex asked.

"Aunt Flo came to visit," Lavinia replied.

Alex blinked. "Who is Aunt Flo?"

Lavinia blushed and moved closer to Alex to whisper something in his ear. When he finally understood what she was talking about, the young man’s face reddened a bit.

"Don’t feel so down. Just rest today," Alex said as he hugged her gently. "We can always go on another date next weekend.

"But you’ll be going to the Inter-Academy Tournament by then," Lavinia pouted.

"It’s fine." Alex smiled. "Then just come with me."

Lavinia seriously considered Alex’s offer. It wasn’t a bad offer since she also wanted to visit the Kingdom of Faelarun.

The rooms the Academy had booked for the trip to the Elven Kingdom were limited, but if Alex agreed to let Lavinia stay in his accommodation, she might just be allowed to go.

"I don’t know if the Headmaster will approve of it," Lavinia blushed.

"Then, we’ll just have to rely on your grandfather. I heard they were friends, right? Maybe you should write him a letter."

Lavinia blinked. "Why didn’t I think of that?"

The young lady then smiled and gave Alex a hug. The two then shared a sweet morning kiss.

Suddenly, the door of the room opened.

Chuck stared at Alex and Lavinia, who abruptly stopped kissing to look at him.

"Don’t mind me," Chuck said with a mischievous smile on his face. "Please carry on."

Unlike Alex who closed the door to give people some privacy, Chuck left the door open to watch them.

Lavinia’s face turned beet red, while Alex only chuckled helplessly.

"See you at class later," Alex said, planting a kiss on Lavinia’s forehead.

"Un." Lavinia nodded and kissed Alex’s cheek in return. She then left the room. But as she passed Chuck, she gave him the "what are you looking at?" gaze.

Chuck only smirked, and didn’t say anything else.

When it was only the two guys inside the room, Chuck walked toward Alex and patted his shoulder.

"I’ve only been away for two days," Chuck stated. "Did you use that time fully to spend some quality time with your girlfriends?"

"If you’re asking if we did stuff in our room, the answer is no," Alex replied. "I won’t do those kinds of things here in the academy."

"At least you have some conscience." Chuck nodded.

"How about you?" Alex asked, this time, it was his turn to smile mischievously. "Did you bond with Mary and the princess during your time together?"

"Yes," Chuck replied without hesitation. "We have taken the next step in our relationships."

"Congratulations, Chuck."

"Congratulations to you too, Alex."

The two shared a knowing smile with each other. Both of them were happy that the other had also become closer with the beautiful ladies whom they held dear in their hearts.

"Still, I thought you won’t return since it’s the weekend," Alex said as Chuck sat on his own bed.

"Xenia is planning to meet with the King to talk about something important," Chuck replied. "Naturally, Mary is coming with her."

"I see." Alex nodded in understanding. "Then, do you have any plans today?"

"Yes. I plan to invite Eleanora to a date," Chuck answered.

Alex blinked once, then twice, before looking at his friend with concern. He had his suspicions, but they were merely suspicions.

But now that Chuck had come clean, he finally gained some blackmail material against Eleanora!

"Why are you chuckling like a third-rate villain?" Chuck asked because Alex started laughing.

"Nothing," Alex smirked. "Well then. Good luck with your date."

"I don’t need luck."

"You’ve changed, Chuck."

The young man genuinely felt that after returning from the Duchy of Emberholt, Chuck seemed to have undergone character growth.

His gaze was more steady, and he radiated confidence that wasn’t there before. It made Alex wonder if he had drunk the Conqueror’s Potion beforehand.

However, he tossed this idea aside. The change in Chuck’s attitude couldn’t be attributed to a potion.

It was through his own hard work and determination.

After bidding goodbye to his friend, Alex decided to talk to his Guardian, Luthor.

Since he was going to the Kingdom of Faelarun, he wanted to ask if the old man was coming with him. Also, if possible, he wanted the Prism Knight to also join him in his journey to Hy-Brasil.

The warnings he got from Efa, and Reverse Lala made him believe that whatever was waiting for him there, he would need all the help he could get.

’Maybe I’ll ask Princess Xenia if I can borrow her flying ship to allow the others to come,’ Alex thought.

Since it was the Second Trial of the Hermit, he wanted to bring his club members to Hy-Brasil as well.

’Latifa also needs to come with us,’ Alex mused. Because of this, he decided to go to the clock tower and tell Latifa that she should prepare to go to the Kingdom of Faelarun next weekend.

When Alex arrived at the clock tower, and told his lover that she should come with him to Faelarun, Latifa agreed right away.

"I thought you’d say that you don’t want to go," Alex used a comb to brush Latifa’s fluffy tail, making the latter sigh in happiness.

"I don’t really plan to go," Latifa replied. "But that girl pestered me in my dream last night."

"That girl?" Alex’s hand stopped moving. "Who is ’that’ girl you’re talking about?"

Just as Latifa was about to give an answer, she stopped midway because she didn’t want to talk about that girl in front of Alex.

This girl was none other than Noelle, who visited Latifa’s dreamworld last night.

She didn’t know why the thieving cat appeared in her dream. However, she was adamant that Latifa should go, or else, Alex might be in danger.

Since Latifa suddenly got worried about Alex, she decided to go to Faelarun with him.

"N-Nothing." Latifa shook her head. "Please, continue to groom my tail."

"Okay." Alex did as he was told and brushed Latifa’s fluffy tail.

Lumi got envious, so she sat on the bed, and also offered her tail to Alex.

Left with no choice, Alex alternated in brushing both of their tails, making both girls happy.
