Chapter 2585
Chapter 2585
Black Wind Valley, where the winds howl and dark mist shrouds everything, eerie and terrifying, like Hell.
A streak of golden light pierced through the sky, arriving in an instant, then hovered in mid-air.
Black Tower City, Deputy City Lord Harlan James.
The only Middle Grade Great Land Supreme Immortal in Black Tower City, the strongest below the City Lord.
"Faelorn Baker!"
Harlan James’s voice was like thunder from the Nine Heavens, echoing throughout Black Wind Valley, spreading far and wide.
The Heartbewildering Pathist ascended from a pitch-black valley, calling, "Uncle Master, over here!"
Harlan James flew over and directly asked, "Where’s the tower?"
"Right below here..."
The Heartbewildering Pathist explained, "The tower has an entrance, but I can’t get in, so I contacted you, Uncle Master."
Harlan James stared at the Heartbewildering Pathist, "Why not contact your Master?"
The Heartbewildering Pathist chuckled, "Master is quite busy, you know. Last time I got into trouble, it was Uncle Master who helped me out greatly. Now that there’s good news, naturally, I thought of you first, Uncle Master."
Harlan James pointed at the Heartbewildering Pathist, "You, you have quite a few little tricks up your sleeve."
Although Harlan James’s words were dismissive, his eyes were filled with satisfaction.
This kid is sensible!
"Let’s go check it out. Rest assured, if there’s any gain, I won’t treat you poorly, Uncle Master."
The Heartbewildering Pathist chuckled, "Uncle Master, please!"
The two descended from the sky, landing in a deep valley, and then discovered an ancient-looking high tower under a cliff.
On the high tower, dots of light flowed, appearing and disappearing, looking ancient and mysterious.
Harlan James said in surprise, "This Black Wind Valley is remote, surrounded by nothing but mountains and earth, shrouded in perpetual darkness, always avoided by others. Yet who would have thought there’d be a tower here, and for quite some time, it seems..."
The Heartbewildering Pathist agreed, "Indeed, I was stunned when I saw it. Initially, I wanted to check inside the tower, but I couldn’t break the barrier at the entrance..."
Harlan James flew a circle around the ancient tower, finally landing before the entrance, his eyes flickering.
"You can’t break it? Any reaction?"
The Heartbewildering Pathist shook his head, "I’ve tried everything, no reaction at all."
Harlan James thought for a moment, "Let me try."
Harlan James stood before the barrier, extended a finger, and gently touched the barrier, indeed feeling the recoil force.
Spiritual power surged from Harlan James’s Sea of Consciousness, and the energy gathering at his fingertip grew larger, causing the barrier to slowly indent inward as if unable to withstand it.
The Heartbewildering Pathist said excitedly, "Looks like it can be broken!"
Harlan James also anticipated, increasing the force once more.
"Bang!"
The barrier shattered, turning into countless points of light, disappearing into the air.
Harlan James’s eyes lit up, but he didn’t rush inside. Instead, he stepped back cautiously.
The tower remained silent, still and unmoving.
Harlan James turned to the Heartbewildering Pathist, "The barrier is open, go and try it."
The Heartbewildering Pathist, surprised and delighted, said, "Me?"
Harlan James nodded, "Yes, go inside and take a look. I’ll guard here for you."
Guard?
You’re sending me in to explore and die, aren’t you?
The Heartbewildering Pathist sneered internally, but outwardly wore an excited expression and quickly stepped through the entrance, his figure disappearing inside.
After the Heartbewildering Pathist went in, the entire ancient tower began to glow faintly with golden light, and this golden light rapidly intensified.
Harlan James was filled with uncertainty, growing impatient.
Could it be that this kid obtained some opportunity?
Is he hoarding it all for himself?
Harlan James knew all too well the nature of the sect members. If there were benefits, Faelorn Baker would never report to him at the first opportunity, unless he couldn’t handle it himself, like discovering this tower but being unable to enter.
If he managed to enter, he would never have informed Harlan James; similarly, if there were any great opportunities inside the tower, he certainly wouldn’t have stepped out to inform him, but instead would have gained the benefits first.
The golden light grew stronger, and the entire tower began to tremble, as if about to rise from the ground.
Could it be that this kid is subduing this ancient tower?
Harlan James finally couldn’t hold back, darting to the entrance and stepping inside, fearing he would be too late if Faelorn Baker succeeded in subduing it.
Harlan James blinked and found himself no longer in the dark Black Wind Valley, but amidst brightly lit towering mountains.
Harlan James’s heart raced, eyes revealing undisguised greed.
Tower World!
This tower actually contains its own world!
This must at least be an Innate Spiritual Treasure!
Where is Faelorn Baker?
Where is that kid hiding, surely not in the midst of gaining opportunities to subdue this ancient tower?
With this thought, Harlan James grew anxious and soared upwards.
Such a magical treasure can’t possibly be given to that kid Faelorn Baker!
If that guy doesn’t know his place, I won’t hesitate to kill him!
This tower must be mine!
Just as Harlan James took flight, the two massive mountain peaks on either side suddenly tilted, crashing down toward him.
